If you’re on this website, congratulations, you know a Bed and Breakfast Home is not a hotel and it’s an option if:

You want lots of value, including:

• a lavish breakfast, invite friends, family or business associates for free
• free wireless,
• free Wall Street Journal, hundreds of magazines and books to borrow or take home
• complimentary snacks and soft drinks,
• variety of bed sizes and configurations, doubles, king, queen and singles, with down comforters in winter
•  unique decor, not just out of the box;  Corinthian columns and a photography gallery do not grace chain hotels!

Please don't reserve here if....

You would be happier at a Holiday Inn*

You're going to arrive with a sour face because you saw laundry hanging on the line, and, like Al Gore, you only want to talk about the environment.

You are going to ask for your money back on arrival because you "didn't see" our mention on the home page that we have cats and a shared bath.*

You want a green environment, including:

• a place certified green by the American Hotel and Lodging Association
• complimentary car service to and from public transit, and easy access to same
• all-cotton sheets and towels, fresh, line-dried laundry,  and cage-free eggs
• a walk or a swing in a permaculture garden free of any chemicals
• the second-largest  (735-acre) urban park across the street, complete with hiking and jogging trails, 16 free tennis courts, and landscaping by Frederick Law Olmsted

You have never seen a cast iron skillet.*

You think a garden should look the same in November as it does in May when we took the photos on our website ( or you think roses bloom all year long )*

You think a garden should only have flowers in rows and not vegetables, herbs, fruit trees, useful wild plants and berries (also known as brambles)

You want a place where you can feel free to be yourself:

• barbecue, toss horsehoes and picnic in the back yard
• come down to breakfast in your pj’s or our vintage robes on loan
• come with partner, friend or family, no questions asked
• watch a movie in your room or the living room, complimentary popcorn provided
• play board and card games or eat takeout in the dining room
• order ahead for gluten-free goods, soy or rice drinks, and other special requests for breakfast

Please don't reserve here if....

You can't understand that we are a home for all people, and using paper and plastic ware we provide for food you ordered or brought in is respectful to our Kosher and Halal guests.*

You would like to force us to give your money back and also destroy our reputation online rather than make a simple comment, suggestion, or request.*
