New Jersey: Take the Geroge Washington Bridge to the Henry Hudson to the Hutchinson to the Merritt to 91 North. Follow Directions "From the South," below.

Manhattan:Take the West Side Highway to the Henry Hudson to the Hutchinson to the Merritt to 91 North. Follow Directions "From the South," below.

Brooklyn/Queens/Staten Island/Bronx:Take the Hutchinson to the Merritt to 91 North. Follow Directions "From the South," below.

From the South : Route 91 North. Take exit 2 for Route 83; make right at light on Sumner Avenue (first major intersection.) Go through next light and past two more streets on left, look for the beige house with red roof and double storied porches with columns; driveway is just past the house; pull in next to front porch then park in back.

From Bradley International Airport: Follow signs out of the airport to Route 91 North.

Take exit 2 for Route 83; make right at light on Sumner Avenue (first major intersection.) Go through next light and past two more streets on left, look for the beige house with red roof and double storied porches with columns; driveway is just past the house; pull in next to front porch then park in back.

From the North (Springfield): Route 91 South to Route 83/ Exit 4; go all the way to light at end of ramp ( do not make left turn before light). Turn left at light under highway, then make first allowed right turn on Longhill Street to top of hill. Turn left at light onto Sumner Avenue. Go through next light and past two more streets on left, look for the beige house with red roof and double storied porches with columns; driveway is just past the house; pull in next to front porch then park in back.

From the East (Mass. Pike/Boston): Take Route 90 and exit at Route 291 then exit towards Hartford, CT onto Route 91 South to Route 83 / Exit 4; go all the way to light at end of ramp ( do not make left turn before light). Turn left at light under highway, then make first allowed right turn on Longhill Street to top of hill. Turn left at light onto Sumner Avenue. Go through next light and past two more streets on left, look for the beige house with red roof and double storied porches with columns; driveway is just past the house; pull in next to front porch then park in back. From Brimfield: Take Route 20 West to Mass Pike - I 90 West and follow directions above.

From the East-local Wilbraham: Take Allen Street or Bicentennial Highway into Sumner Ave., through the “X” (Dickinson/Belmont Streets crossing). House is third on right after the light at Forest Park Ave, which marks the end of Forest Park, on left.

From the West (Mass Pike/Albany): Take exit for 91 South to Route 83/ Exit 4; go all the way to light at end of ramp ( do not make left turn before light). Turn left at light under highway, then make first allowed right turn on Longhill Street to top of hill. Turn left at light onto Sumner Avenue. Go through next light and past two more streets on left, look for the beige house with red roof and double storied porches with columns; driveway is just past the house; pull in next to front porch then park in back.

From the East-local Wilbraham: Take Bicentennial Highway or Allen Street which run into Sumner Ave., through the “X” (Dickinson/Belmont Streets crossing). House is third on right after the light at Forest Park Ave, which marks the end of Forest Park, on left.

To the Eastern States Exposition/ Big E: (four miles)

Turn right out of driveway, to end of Sumner and turn left, then stay in right lane til you round the curve, then stay left and do not get on 91- follow left lane directions to 5 North and stay in left lane over bridge. Once on Route 5, take first exit ramp before underpass up to rotary and go to 9 o'clock with your back to downtown Springfield off the rotary, which is Memorial Avenue leading to the ESE, about a mile down on your left.

From the Eastern States Exposition/ Big E: (four miles)

From Route 5, go South on 5 to the "South End bridge" staying in the left lane for East Longmeadow/83 South instead of right for Rte 57....Once on the bridge, get in the right lane as soon as you can because right at the end of the bridge you will take the right exit, but do not get on 91- take 83 through the first light (the one with no turns) to the light at the wide avenue, which is Sumner. Go through first traffic light at Friendly's and then count two more streets on the left. The Lathrop House is the second house past the second street on your left. There is a street number sign on a post out front, pull in to driveway at the sign.

To Six Flags New England (Five miles)

Turn right out of driveway at 188 Sumner Avenue.

At end of Sumner, turn left.

Stay in right lane around curve and take 5N

Stay in right lane and exit at end of bridge.

Turn off at first right from rotary, follow river road to end at gas station.

Turn left to Six Flags.

To return:

Reverse direction from Six Flags, go straight to Route 57

Turn East to Springfield, stay in right lane on bridge

Take first exit at end of bridge, but do not get on 91

Follow signs to Rte 83.

At Sumner Ave, turn right past Friendly’s,

House is second driveway after second street on left after that.
